There are many countries in the world. I am a citizen of Nepal. Nepal is our country.It is our motherland. I am proud of being Nepali. Nepal lies between two big Asian countries China and India. It is a land-locked country.

According to the Constitution of Nepal-Nepal is an independent indivisible, sovereign, secular, inclusive, democratic, socialism- oriented, federal democratic republican state. It is a multi-ethnic, multilingual, multi-religious, multicultural, sovereign country. Its total area is 1, 47,181 sq km or 56,827 sq miles. The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu. The people living in Nepal are called Nepalese. Its average length is 885 km and average width is 195 km. it lies between 26 22' north to 30 27' north latitude; 80°4' east to 88 12 east longitude. It occupies 0.3 percent of total land area of Asiarn and 0.03 percent of total land area of the world. It has its own currency, national anthem, national flag and constitution.

Nepal is a rich country in natural prosperity. Forest with different kinds of useful trees and medicinal herbs, charming flowers, common and rare animals and birds make our land green beautiful and attractive tourist centre. Nature has bestowed upon our land minerals and the vast water resources in the forms or glaciers, lakes, rivers, brooks, springs and falls. They have made our land second richest country in water resource in the world sort.

We are proud that our soil is sacred. Goddess, Laxmi, consort of God Vishnu had her incarnation here in the form of Sita.It is the sacred land where the Tenth incarnation of Vishnu an of Asia, Gautam Buddha, was born and his religion spread in many countries. It is the holy land of the great sage Valmiki and Vyas great king Janak, great scholars like Yagyavalkya and Maitreya it is land of Araniko and Bhrikuti. Our country has given birth to valiant soldiers whose name and fame spread in the world and who preserved the country's freedom with their unique bravery people belonging to different castes, religions, traditions and Our customs present a matchless example of unity.

Nepal is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. We are in favour of world peace. We believe in peace in the world. We believe in the policy 'Live and let live'. We are determined to keep our national flag with moon and sun always fluttering in the sky.

 Every people like and love their country. They feel proud of their We are proud of our Everest, the crown of our motherland, highest summit in the world, a great attraction for the tourists and climbers. We are proud that nature has decked our motherland mountains, hills, foothills and plains. We should use them wisely.
