Importance of Agriculture in Nepal Our country lies in the Monsoon region of south Asia.This region in the world is very good and suitable for agriculture Nepal has different kinds of land structures and climatic regions. It has mountains hills and Tarai or plain land as well as valleys among high hills. The Tarai or valley regions very fertile. These regions have soil that is suitable for crop. In Nepal, the economy is dominated by agriculture. It is the main source of livelihood for more percent of the population although only approximately 20 percent of the total land area is cultivable.
