What is a report? A report is a piece of writing based on facts and descriptions, and produced after investigation, search inquiry, study and through observation. An individual involved in a particular organizational activity-may it be an academic institute or administrative unit, a hospital or firm, a business house or an industrial plant must have the ability of preparing a report.
