It is a multi-ethnic, multilingual, multi-religious, multicultural, sovereign country. Its total area is 1, 47,181 sq km or 56,827 sq miles. The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu. The people living in Nepal are called Nepalese. Its average length is 885 km and average width is 195 km. it lies between 26 22' north to 30 27' north latitude; 80°4' east to 88 12 east longitude.
